Tony's Story - From Personal Experiences to a Passion for Trichology
Tony's interest in trichology stems from his own experience. Years ago, he suffered from hair loss due to illness, prompting him to focus on hair growth mechanisms, the causes of hair loss, and methods to improve it. Through self-study, he discovered that scalp and hair health is not just a matter of products, but is also closely related to the scalp environment, daily care, lifestyle, and even overall health. This realization led him to systematically dedicate himself to trichology research.
Later, Tony became an agent for the professional brand Mediceuticals. In serving clients, he realized that a solid professional foundation was essential to providing more effective and evidence-based advice. Therefore, he decided to pursue further studies in trichology, hoping to help more people improve their scalp and hair problems using scientific and evidence-based methods. -
Professional qualifications and experience
Tony will complete his professional training at The Institute of Trichologists (IOT) in the UK in 2025, obtaining a Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Trichology. This course, based on academic science and including clinical placements, provides him with a clear framework for the assessment, consultation, and follow-up of scalp and hair problems.During his internship in London, Tony participated in case consultation and processing, including data collection, observation and analysis of scalp and hair conditions, treatment recommendations, and follow-up. He also encountered complex scalp and hair loss cases, such as:
- Frontal fibrotic alopecia (FFA)
- Central eccentric scarring alopecia (CCCA)
- Follicular lichen planus (LPP)
And common questions, such as:
- Androgenetic alopecia (AGA)
- Seborrheic dermatitis
- Telogen effluvium (TE)
-
Professional Philosophy and Goals
Tony adheres to the principle of "assessment first, then advice, and follow-up," emphasizing a systematic process to help clients understand their condition and management direction. If there is suspicion of scarring alopecia, skin disease, or the need for medical intervention, he will recommend consulting a dermatologist or making a referral to ensure safety and appropriateness.Client health is paramount: clarify the situation first, then offer advice; refer to a specialist doctor if necessary.
A comprehensive assessment is the starting point: a clear judgment is established through systematic consultation.
Informed consent and transparent communication: Clearly explain the key points of the inspection, the reasons for the recommendations, the expected results, and the risks.
No misleading or exaggeration: Based on objective evidence, but no guarantee of efficacy.
Emphasis on privacy and professional boundaries: Strict protection of case information.
Continuing education: Keeping professional knowledge and skills updated.

Mr. A - #Suffering from eczema and scalp problems
Ugh, I've had this scalp eczema for so long. I've been to so many scalp treatment centers but nothing has worked. It gets a little better for a while, then it comes back again. It's so frustrating!
On a friend's recommendation, I went to see a trichologist named Tony for a professional scalp consultation, thinking I had nothing to lose. Tony examined my scalp very carefully, asking about my daily habits, diet, and what products I used.
Tony told me that there are actually many types of scalp eczema, which is why I haven't been able to find the right treatment before...
He analyzed my scalp condition, suggested that I use a mild, non-irritating shampoo, and told me to adjust my diet and sleep schedule. He also taught me how to massage my scalp. At first, I was skeptical. But after a while, my scalp eczema really improved significantly! The redness, swelling, and marks were much less, and my scalp was healthier!
I really have to thank Tony this time! If it weren't for him, I might still be trying random things, wasting time and money. He not only solved my scalp problem, but also taught me the correct way to care for my scalp.

Mr. D - #Severe hair loss problem
Tony isn't just a trichologist, he's my savior! His professional knowledge and encouragement helped me regain my confidence, letting me know that even with thinning hair, there's still a chance to keep it, and even grow some new hair! He truly helped me regain some of my youth!
I've been struggling with hair loss for a long time. I've tried many methods, but none of them have worked. My hair on the top of my head is starting to thin, and the remaining hair is very thin and weak.I have typical male pattern baldness, but Tony told me that the hair follicles are not completely dead yet, and there is still a chance to save them! He explained it very clearly, telling me why my hair is falling out, and also telling me what methods can slow down the rate of hair loss, and even stimulate hair regrowth.
After the consultation, he developed a treatment plan for me based on my situation, including the products I need to use regularly, and also suggested supplementing with nutrients. After several months of hard work, my hair loss has improved significantly! And some fine new hairs are starting to grow on the top of my head! Although they're not very thick yet, they've given me endless hope!
